Can a vegan eat foods made with yeast? Is are those little yeast critters considered an animal?

You can eat foods with yeast because if you think about it yeast is classified under the Bacteriae kingdom not Animalia kindom, but it also depnds upon your point of view.

...considering it's a living thing, I don't think so. Well...they do eat plants so I really don't know. Hopefully a vegan will answer this question because now you got me curious.

    *edit*

Now why would anyone give me a thumbs down? All I did was ask a question that did not. or should not, offend anyone. People these days, way too soft...

    yeast is bacteria

if they can't have yeast, technically, they probably can't even clap their hands

You just made a group of vegans hyperventillate and go into mass confusion.

Yeast is a bacteria, if you can't eat yeast you better not bath, brush your teeth, or blow your nose.

Yes. Yeast is not an animal, but a fungus.
