In Romanian: Pricomigdale I Ingredients * 4 oz/100 g Sugar, * 4 oz/100 g flour, * 4 oz/100 g ground walnuts, * 1 egg, * 3 oz/80 g lard, * a few drops rum essence, * shortening for greasing the baking sheet Directions 1. cream the Sugar with the egg and lard, add walnuts, rum essence and flour. Knead well. 2. Make little balls (walnut sized) and arrange on the previously greased baking sheet, leaving a lot of space among them. 3. Bake at medium heat. Cookies II In Romanian: Pricomigdale II Ingredients * 4 cups walnuts, * 1 cup confectioner's sugar, * 1 egg, 1 yolk, * 1 teaspoon flour, * 1 teaspoon vanilla, oil Directions 1. Beat the Sugar with the whole egg and yolk until foamy. 2. Add the ground walnuts, vanilla and flour and mix well. 3. With you wet hands, shape little balls, flatten them slightly and arrange on the oiled baking sheet. 4. Leave space between them because they increase their size during baking. Easter cake with cottage cheese In Romanian: Pasca cu brinza de vaca Ingredients * Sweet bread dough (regular or Russian). Filling: * 1 lb/500 g cottage cheese, * 4 oz/100 g Raisins, * 3-4 eggs, * 1 tablespoon butter, * Sugar to taste, * a little grated lemon peel, * salt Directions 1. Mix the ingredients for filling to obtain a homogenuous paste. 2. Roll a pencil thick sheet out of the sweet bread dough. Place in a baking pan. 3. From another piece of dough form a long, finger thick roll and arrange it around the sheet, sticking to the walls of the pan. 4. Place the filling within, without covering the roll on the edges. 5. Make two more such dough rolls and place them over the filling in an X shape. 6. After the cake has risen a bit in a warm place, use a little egg wash over the dough rolls. 7.
